Sales and Return Authorization Policies |
| |
(As of 12/27/1999)
Mentor Electronics accepts returns due to shipment errors,
damaged or defective parts only. All orders are NC/NR(Non-cancelable/Non-returnable).
All sales are final. All orders shipped will be insured by
the specified freight carrier at the expense of the Buyer unless
proof a current insurance binder is provided by the Buyer in
writing. This binder must be approved in writing by an authorized
Mentor Electronics representative.
Buyer may return to Seller(Mentor Electronics) any goods that
are damaged or defective solely by obtaining a Return Material
Authorization (RMA) from Seller within 30 days of receipt of
the goods. The RMA must be in writing and include the signature
of an authorized Mentor Electronics representative.
Buyer must return to Seller the damaged or defective goods
within the period set forth in the RMA. The RMA number must
be listed on all packaging containing goods returned to the
Seller. If Buyer does not request from Seller an RMA in writing
within 30 days of receiving the goods to be returned, or requests
an RMA for goods that are not damaged or defective, Seller
may, at its sole discretion, refuse to issue an RMA for return
of the goods or may require that Buyer pay to Seller a reasonable
restocking fee as a condition of issuing to Buyer the RMA.
No returns are acceptable unless an RMA has been issued by
an authorized Mentor Electronics repesentative.
Goods returned as damaged or defective are subject to testing
by a qualified testing laboratory chosen by the Seller. Any
testing costs will be paid by the Buyer in advance to Mentor
Electronics before testing is conducted. Should the product
fail testing, Mentor Electronics may, at its sole discretion,
choose to compensate the Buyer for these services as long as
all outstanding account balances have been paid by the Buyer
to Mentor Electronics.
All short shipment notifications must be made within 3 business
days after shipment receipt.
All RMA products are to be returned unused and in original
packaging from Mentor Electronics, Inc. Any product that is
not in the condition in which it was delivered to Buyer will
be returned to the customer and the RMA will be considered "void".
Orders receiving an RMA must be received within 10 days of
RMA approval.
RMA shipments are to be returned to Mentor Electronics FOB
Destination. Unless otherwise specified by Mentor Electronics,
all domestic RMA shipments are to be returned via UPS Ground
using Buyer's account number. It is the responsibility of the
Buyer to insure all RMA shipments at Buyer's expense. All international
RMA shipments are to be returned via the best way as determined
by an Mentor Electronics authorized representative. COD shipments
will not be accepted.
After 10 business days any and all RMAs are considered "void" and
will be refused and returned. |
